The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), together with Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. (RRHI), has launched a new cash deposit service that allows customers to use a barcode from the BPI mobile app to deposit money at participating retail stores.
The service was officially introduced during the Sun and Fun Fair in Boracay from April 19 to 21, 2026. BPI said the feature will be available in more than 1,000 RRHI stores nationwide by the end of the year.
Using the BPI app, customers can generate a barcode for deposit transactions, which can then be completed at partner stores without visiting a bank branch.

BPI said the initiative is part of its push to improve financial access and make banking services more convenient, especially in underserved areas. The bank added that the expanded partnership with RRHI strengthens its “branch hub” strategy, turning retail stores into locations where customers can access banking services such as deposits, withdrawals, account opening, and product applications.
According to Rally Jereza, head of BPI agency banking, the service aims to bring full banking access closer to communities across the country, including remote areas, by integrating banking into everyday retail locations.
