Ayala Land starts turnover of Naga employee homes

BellaVita, the socialized housing arm of Ayala Land Inc., has started turning over homes to Naga City government employees under a program covering 1,011 units at BellaVita Naga in Barangay Pacol.

The first 110 beneficiaries received their keys on Aug. 18, marking the initial rollout of a housing program forged through a Memorandum of Agreement between BellaVita Land Corp. and the Naga City government.

Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo led the ceremonial turnover, joined by Pag-IBIG Fund President and CEO Marilene Acosta, Social Housing Finance Corp. President and CEO Frederico Laxa, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Assistant Secretary Johnson Domingo, and Robert S. Lao, Ayala Land Group head of strategic growth and new ventures and chief sustainability officer.

Under the arrangement, qualified employees acquire the units individually through Pag-IBIG housing loans, while the city’s Housing and Settlements Development Office facilitates participation and coordinates with the fund.

“Today, we are awarding the house keys to 110 beneficiaries. Ang pinaka maganda dito sa BellaVita, fully developed na ‘yung buong village,” Robredo said, noting that the community already has a multipurpose hall, completed homes, roads, water, and electricity connections.

Lao said the project demonstrates how government and private-sector cooperation can expand access to affordable housing.

“It took Mayor Robredo and the entire Naga City government… DHSUD, and Pag-IBIG Fund… all choosing to build a bridge together,” Lao said.

The program also highlights the role of completed, master-planned communities in making employee housing more accessible. With infrastructure already in place, beneficiaries can move into homes without waiting for basic village facilities to be developed.

For BellaVita, the Naga project strengthens its role in providing socialized housing while giving local governments another mechanism to address the housing needs of their workforce.

The remaining units will be turned over in succeeding phases as qualified employees complete the acquisition process.
