AirAsia Philippines reported a significant increase in passenger traffic and forward bookings for flights to Taiwan in the first quarter of 2025. From January to March, the airline has already flown 90 percent of the total number of passengers to Taiwan recorded in the same period in 2024, reflecting a strong demand for Taiwan tourism.
With twice-daily flights from Manila to Taipei and three weekly services to Kaohsiung, AirAsia is ensuring affordable and convenient travel for Filipinos eager to experience Taiwan’s cherry blossoms, which bloom until early April.
AirAsia Philippines communications and public affairs head Steve Dailisan noted that bookings peak during Taiwan’s cold season, with many travelers capitalizing on the cool weather.
