Managing credit card spending can now be done with just a few taps through the BDO Pay app, which allows users to monitor and manage their BDO Unibank credit cards directly from their smartphones.
The app provides real-time access to key account information, including outstanding balances, recent transactions, electronic statements, and payment due dates. By bringing these features into one platform, the app aims to simplify financial management for customers who increasingly rely on mobile services for daily transactions.
A key feature of the app is user-controlled security. Cardholders can lock their credit card when it is not in use and unlock it instantly when needed, helping reduce the risk of unauthorized transactions. The app also allows users to activate cards, access e-statements, and file transaction disputes without contacting customer service.
Beyond account monitoring, the platform integrates routine credit card services. Users can request card re-delivery, apply for a cash advance PIN, check the status of credit card applications, and request supplementary cards directly within the app.
The app also supports QR-based payments through a “Scan to Pay” feature. Customers can complete purchases by scanning QR codes at participating merchants nationwide without using a physical card or pre-loading funds, which may help reduce transfer errors and fraud risks.
In addition, users can access rewards earned from credit card spending. Points can be converted into cash credits for purchases or transferred to partner rewards programs such as BDO Rewards and SMAC.
The rollout reflects a broader push by banks to expand mobile-first financial services, giving customers more direct control over spending, security, and payments through digital platforms. The app is available for free download on major mobile app stores.
