Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has partnered with anti-scam technology firm Gogolook to strengthen customer fraud defenses and verify official bank communications. Eligible clients get 12 months complimentary Whoscall Premium Basic access—identifying unknown callers, blocking scams, filtering suspicious messages—activated via official BPI channels. The collaboration addresses uncertainty over unsolicited communications, aiming to reduce fraud risk and reinforce trust in digital banking amid increasingly sophisticated threats.
“Awareness is as important as protection,” said Alma Aldip, BPI head of unsecured lending and cards – products and sales. “We equip clients to stay ahead of fraud, but vigilance remains vital.” She noted Whoscall is a third-party tool managed by Gogolook; customers should report suspicious contacts to BPI’s 24-hour support at (+632) 88910000 or 180018889100. Marking 175 years of service, BPI advances secure, innovative banking through strategic alliances.
“Scams grow more localized—collaboration is key,” said Manwoo Joo, Gogolook Global COO. “Together we bring global anti-fraud expertise to empower more Filipino consumers.”
