Vietjet will start direct flights between Clark International Airport and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, beginning November 10, 2026, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp. announced Wednesday.
Operated three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with round-trip services, the new route marks Vietjet’s first direct link from Clark and delivers a major logistical upgrade for travelers across Central and Northern Luzon. It provides a direct, efficient alternative to connecting through Metro Manila airports, cutting travel time and expanding access beyond the National Capital Region.
For logistics and regional mobility, the flight opens a critical air bridge between one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economic hubs and a key commercial and transit gateway. Ho Chi Minh City serves as a primary hub for onward connections across Vietnam, including Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc and Hue, enabling smoother business, tourism and cargo movement between Northern/Central Luzon and the broader Vietnam market.
“This route is a strong vote of confidence in our region’s travel and trade potential,” LIPAD president and CEO Noel Manankil said. “Clark serves a large catchment area outside Metro Manila, and this direct link gives passengers and businesses across Central and Northern Luzon faster, more reliable access to one of Vietnam’s most dynamic cities. We expect it to significantly strengthen tourism and business ties between both markets.”
To mark the launch, Vietjet is introducing special promotional fares every Friday, with one-way Eco tickets starting at $75 inclusive of all taxes and fees. The promotion covers travel through March 31, 2027, and is subject to peak periods, public holidays and applicable blackout dates.
The new service reinforces Clark’s expanding international network, positioning the airport as a key alternative for travelers seeking efficient regional connections while easing congestion pressures on Metro Manila’s air transport system.
