St. Luke’s Quezon City marks milestone in future-ready hospital expansion

St. Luke’s Medical Center–Quezon City has reached a key construction milestone after completing the vertical structure of its new North Hospital Building, marked by a topping-off ceremony today.

The 13-storey building, located along Sta. Ignaciana Street beside the St. Luke’s College of Medicine, is part of the hospital’s long-term plan to modernize and expand its Quezon City campus. Once finished, it will consolidate nearly 80% of existing hospital services to improve access and convenience for patients.

The facility will include 132 patient rooms, larger outpatient and diagnostic areas, updated surgical suites, and specialized care units. It is also designed to support advanced medical technology and meet high safety and healthcare standards, aiming to improve both efficiency and patient experience.

Hospital officials said the topping-off ceremony represents more than construction progress, describing it as a sign of continued commitment to providing quality, patient-centered care. The building is expected to be completed in 2027 and is seen as part of St. Luke’s ongoing role as a leading healthcare institution in the Philippines.

The milestone follows another recent recognition for the institution, with St. Luke’s–Quezon City named Tertiary Hospital of the Year at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026, highlighting its focus on clinical excellence and innovation.
