Globe Business strengthens AI push with AAP alliance

Globe Business has signed a two-year strategic partnership with the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP) to help organizations in the Philippines adopt artificial intelligence (AI) more effectively in daily operations.

The partnership combines AAP’s expertise in AI ecosystem development, training, and policy advocacy with Globe Business’s strengths in digital infrastructure, cloud services, and connectivity. The goal is to support responsible and scalable AI adoption across industries.

KD Dizon, vice president and head of Globe Business, said the collaboration aims to help enterprises turn AI potential into measurable business results and drive sustainable digital growth.

Under the agreement, both groups will launch initiatives focused on practical AI use, including thought leadership programs, capability-building activities, and ecosystem development efforts. These initiatives aim to provide organizations with the tools, expertise, and governance frameworks needed for secure and ethical AI implementation.

Michelle Alarcon, president of AAP, said the partnership will help strengthen collaboration among industry players, technology providers, and talent developers to support faster and more sustainable AI adoption in the country.

Studies by Microsoft and the International Data Corporation show that while more than 70% of organizations in Southeast Asia are exploring AI, only a few have achieved enterprise-wide adoption due to challenges in talent, data readiness, and governance.

The Department of Trade and Industry has identified infrastructure, skills development, and stronger public-private partnerships as critical to unlocking AI’s projected P2.8 trillion contribution to the Philippine economy by 2030.
