Clark International Airport is expanding its regional connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City as its newest international destination, strengthening its role as an alternative gateway for travelers from Central and Northern Luzon.
Direct flights between Clark and Vietnam’s largest commercial hub will begin on Nov. 10, 2026, operated by low-cost carrier Vietjet.
The new route gives passengers a direct link to one of Southeast Asia’s major tourism and business centers, while opening another connection between Clark and Vietnam, one of the region’s growing tourism and economic markets.
The addition comes as Clark continues to broaden its international network. The airport currently serves 10 international destinations across nine countries through 11 foreign and low-cost carriers, with about 101 international flights operating each week.
Its network includes full-service carriers Emirates, Qatar Airways, Asiana Airlines, EVA Air, and STARLUX Airlines, alongside low-cost operators Cebu Pacific, Aero K, HK Express, Jeju Air, Jin Air, and Scoot.
For Clark, the growing network is more than a connectivity upgrade. More direct international routes can strengthen the airport’s role in supporting tourism, trade, and investment across the wider Central Luzon economy.
Clark Freeport welcomed 32.6 million visitors in 2025, generating P43.47 billion in tourism receipts, according to the Clark Development Corp. Visitors stayed an average of 4.66 days, while accommodation occupancy reached 79 percent.
The Ho Chi Minh City route could add another stream of visitors and business travelers while giving residents outside Metro Manila more direct options for international travel.
As Clark adds destinations across Asia, its competitive advantage is increasingly tied to its ability to offer travelers and businesses an alternative to congested gateways in Metro Manila. The expanding route network also strengthens the case for Clark as a regional hub serving the growing Central and Northern Luzon markets.
